Van vrijdag 30 januari tot en met zondag 1 februari 2026 is er in Vrij Paleis (Paleisstraat 107, Amsterdam) de expositie LEMON—AI’D, waar het resultaat van de bijzondere samenwerking tussen Lemon en Beeld- en Mediatechnoloog Rodger Werkhoven (van ANOTHER DIMENSION) wordt geëxposeerd.
Rodger creëerde voor alle #lemon12 singles die Lemon in 2025 uitbracht AI-art, geïnspireerd door de teksten en de sfeer van de songs. Het resultaat, twaalf virtuele borden in stijlen uiteenlopend van psychedelisch tot Delfts Blauw, is uiteindelijk ook echt van keramiek vervaardigd door Solke Pasveer (Maatwerkborden te Utrecht).
Elk bord wordt in een oplage van maximaal 12 exemplaren uitgevoerd. Het allereerste exemplaar van elke versie wordt verkocht tegen het hoogste bod. Op verzoek kunnen ze worden voorzien van een persoonlijke boodschap en worden gesigneerd door de bandleden en/of de kunstenaar.
Tijdens de expositie worden niet alleen de unieke borden (Delfts Blauw en kleurrijke exemplaren) geëxposeerd, maar ook alle voorstudies van het met AI vervaardigde artwork. Je kunt natuurlijk de bijbehorende songs beluisteren (breng hiervoor je eigen oortjes mee!), er zijn semi-akoestische optredens van Angelo Benson, Dunter Flinn en Lemon (op zaterdag uitgebreid met zangeres Yasmina van Gurp, die aan vier van de #lemon12 singles heeft meegewerkt), er zijn video-projecties en Rodger geeft presentaties waarin hij vertelt hoe hij met kunstmatige intelligentie kunst creëert. Als klap op de vuurpijl is tijdens de expositie de officiële release van twee (!) vinyl-albums van Lemon.
Mis deze bijzondere expositie niet! Openingstijden: vrijdag en zaterdag van 14:00 tot 22:00 uur, zondag van 14:00 tot 20:00 uur. Bar open vrijdag en zaterdag van 17:00 tot 22:00 uur (dus niet zoals hieronder aangegeven doorlopend!). Toegang gratis.
THE LEMON—AI’D EXHIBITION
From Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026, you can visit Vrij Paleis (Paleisstraat 107, Amsterdam) for LEMON—AI’D, an exhibition showing the result of a special collaboration between Lemon and visual/media technologist Rodger Werkhoven (of ANOTHER DIMENSION).
For all #lemon12 singles released by Lemon in 2025, Rodger created unique AI-generated artworks inspired by the lyrics and atmosphere of each track. The outcome — twelve virtual plates in styles ranging from psychedelic to Delft Blue — has been turned into real ceramic artworks by Solke Pasveer (Maatwerkborden, Utrecht).
Each design is produced in a limited edition of just 12 pieces. The very first copy of each version will be sold to the highest bidder. On request, the plates can be personalized with a message and signed by the band members and/or the artist.
At the exhibition, you’ll see not only the Delft Blue and colorful plates themselves, but also all the AI art sketches and studies behind them. You can, of course, listen to the songs they’re based on (bring your own earbuds!), and enjoy semi-acoustic performances by Angelo Benson, Dunter Flinn, and Lemon (joined on Saturday by singer Yasmina van Gurp, who collaborated on four of the #lemon12 singles). There will also be video projections, and Rodger will give talks about how he creates art using artificial intelligence. And to top it all off, the exhibition will also mark the official release of not one but two vinyl albums by Lemon!
Don’t miss this special exhibition! Opening hours: Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 10 PM, Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM. Bar open: Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM (so not continuously, despite what it says below!). Free entry.
